Common questions
My water heater is rumbling and popping. Is that dangerous?
That's sediment on the tank floor flashing water to steam — not an explosion risk, but it's cooking your tank from the inside and wasting gas. A flush often quiets it; if the sediment has hardened, we'll tell you honestly how much life the tank has left.
How long should a water heater last?
With our hard water, tanks average 8–12 years; flushed annually with a healthy anode rod, they reach the top of that range. Tankless units last 15–20 years with regular descaling. If your tank is past 10 and leaking from the body, replacement is the only fix.
Should I switch to tankless?
Tankless gives endless hot water and space savings, but costs more up front and may need a gas-line upgrade. For big families who run out of hot water, it's often worth it; for a two-person household, a quality tank is usually the better value. We quote both and let you choose.
