Furnace & Heat Pump Installation

High-efficiency furnaces and cold-climate heat pumps, sized to your home and installed to manufacturer spec.

Furnace & Heat Pump Installation

Whether you're replacing a 20-year-old furnace or making the jump to a cold-climate heat pump, we design the system around your house — load calculation, duct evaluation, and honest talk about what actually pays back in our climate. Modern heat pumps heat comfortably well below zero and can cut winter bills substantially, but they aren't right for every home; we'll tell you when a high-efficiency gas furnace is the smarter buy. Every installation is commissioned with measured airflow and combustion or refrigerant readings, and we pull the permit and meet the inspector so you don't have to.

What’s included

  • Free in-home estimates with good-better-best options in writing
  • Cold-climate heat pump specialists — honest advice on gas vs. electric
  • Full commissioning: measured airflow, charge, and combustion numbers
  • Permit and city inspection handled by us, old equipment hauled away
  • New systems installed overnight-ready in heating season — you're never left cold

Common questions

Do heat pumps actually work in Idaho winters?

Modern cold-climate heat pumps hold their rated output well below 0°F, which covers almost every Boise winter night. For the coldest snaps, we typically install electric or gas backup that kicks in automatically — you won't notice the handoff.

How much does a new furnace cost?

Most of our furnace replacements land between $5,500 and $9,500 installed, depending on efficiency, size, and duct condition. Heat pump systems generally run higher up front but can qualify for meaningful rebates and lower monthly bills. Your written estimate breaks out every option.

Can you replace my furnace in winter without leaving us cold?

Yes. Replacements are scheduled to finish the same day, and if anything unexpected extends the job, we set up temporary heaters at no charge. In 30 years we've never left a family without heat overnight.

What customers say

Furnace died at 9:30 on a Tuesday night in January — 12° outside. Called the emergency line expecting voicemail and got a real dispatcher. Marcus was in our driveway by 10:15 and had a new ignitor in by 11. He even set space heaters up for the kids' rooms while the house came back up to temp. Cannot say enough good things.

AC gave out during the July heat wave when it was 104°. Every other company quoted us 'sometime next week.' Cedar Peak had a tech out the same afternoon — bad capacitor, fixed in 40 minutes, and the bill matched the quote to the penny. This is why we've used them since the 90s.

Got three bids for a heat pump conversion in our Meridian house. Cedar Peak was the only one who measured rooms and checked the ducts instead of eyeballing it from the driveway. Install crew was their own employees, done in a day and a half, and our January bill dropped by about a third. The 'on my way' text with the tech's photo was a nice touch.
